Foundation Story

In 2005, a heartfelt vision came to life when Mary Northmore, an Indonesian citizen of British origin, responded to a plea from Prof. Dr David David, Australia’s most prominent Cranio-facial surgeon. He explained that his efforts to help patients in Eastern Indonesia were hampered by a lack of infrastructure for patients to actually access the treatment. In response and with support from a number of volunteers and supporters, Mary founded Bali Smile Foundation.​

The dream was to alleviate the suffering associated with craniofacial abnormalities and to transform lives through accessible healthcare. Today, Bali Smile Foundation stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults across Indonesia. The Foundation firmly believes in Accountability, Transparency, and Ethical standards.
