Komang Adi

Komang Adi was born in 1997 in a small village in the  west of Lombok, an island which lies to the east of Bali.    He is now eleven years old and attends school in  Lombok where he is in the final year of elementary (Primary).

In 2007 Komang was found in Lombok by a Bali Rotary Club member who had been visiting Lombok. The Rotarian asked Yayasan Senyum Bali to assist Komang with arranging corrective surgery. About a month later Komang attended a Yayasan Senyum Bali Clinic where he was seen by a plastic surgeon at Sanglah Hospital and was diagnosed with a cleft lip & palate. In July 2008, he was admitted in Darma Yadya Hospital, a private hospital in Denpasar, to have cleft lip and pallate surgery. This operation was very successful but he must control past surgery every year.
