Rohmawati is a sixteen years old girl  from  Lombok which lies to the east of Bali. She is the third child in the family and suffers from a right tessier cleft with a duplication of her maxilla. Rohmawati attended the Yayasan Senyum Bali Clinic in Denpasar, Bali in 2007 after being found by a Yayasan Kita Peduli outreach worker in her village in Lombok.

She was examined in Bali at the Yayasan Senyum Clinic by a team of doctors headed by Professor David David who were visiting from the Australian Cranio Facial Unit (ACFU) in Adelaide.
