Gede Gandiva Pangestu

Gede was born in Singaraja, Bali November 2010 as the first born child. Right after his birth, his parents found that their son suffered with disabilities, a cleft lip. Due to being in the lower economy class, the family did not have the funds to cover their son’s operation.

Gede’s parents brought him to Rumah Senyum when he was only a month old, so we have to wait until he was older to have his cleft lip surgery. We recalled him on February 2011 to prepare his lip operation. Gede was admitted in Sanglah Hospital the same month for his surgery by the team doctors at Sanglah Hospital, and was released two days later. It is one of our missions to help many other Gede’s to have treatment and operation in early stage of life and bring them hope for a better future.
